Jimbo is a great tour guide. He made learning about the history of Boston extremely fun and comfortable for all. He even went the extra mile to ask his guests what they liked and included hidden gems along the way. I will definitely book another tour with Jimbo again. BEST TOUR EVER!

We knew immediatly that this tour was going to indeed be unique when we were advised to meet up at Durty Nelly's, an old dive bar. We had a nice meet and greet over a pint and we were off. Jimbo has a great laid back style and wit which was evident from the start. We hit many historic points relevant to the founding of the US on the walk, with enough high yield information provided to feel like we were learning some history without it being dull or overwhelming. Honestly, my preconceived notion was that the tour would be heavy on beer and pizza with some scant mention of some history here and there, but, that was not the case. We did visit some wonderful old school pizzerias, bakeries and markets along the way, places that I dare say the average tourist would not be aware of. All in all, it was a very laid back, delicious and fun tour. I recommend this tour without reservation, it was an exceptional value.

We just had the BEST time on the north end tour in Boston with Jimbo! From the moment we started, he had us laughing with his sharp humor and clever insights, all while sharing incredible knowledge about the city’s history and hidden gems. This wasn’t your typical touristy experience—it felt like seeing Boston through the eyes of a true local! We wandered through charming neighborhoods, uncovered fascinating stories, and soaked in the city’s unique vibe. I can’t wait to come back and try Jimbo’s other tours—they’re a must-do!

I brought my fiancé and a friend on the boSTONER Cannabis & Cannoli Tour to celebrate their birthdays. It was such a fun, unique and laid-back way to explore the north end of Boston, learn some history, and generally have a great time. Jimbo was extremely communicative, knowledgeable, funny, and overall, just a great time to be around. The tour structure and length were ideal even in cold weather. We can’t recommend this experience enough! 10 out of 10!

Get ready to feel immersed in the north end of Boston. Not the yelp guide version, but a truly magical exploration of the history, culture and everyday lives of those who live and have lived in the north end. You’ll see things no one else will point out. You’ll go down streets that google wont show you, but are very much a must see. And all this comes from a tour guide that has lived in this area for a long while. A tour guide that all the locals know, say hi to and fist bump along the way letting you know, you’re in the best hands.

Went for a weekend trip to Boston with my girls. We did the cannoli tour the same day we flew in and let me tell you, there is no better person to introduce the city of Boston than my good sir, Jimbo. This guy is extremely knowledgeable, comical, and most importantly chill af. He gives accurate information in an entertaining, storytelling kind of way. His food recommendations are 10/10 and he took the best pictures. We had an absolute blast, I would be remiss if I didn’t share my experience.

We got off the plane and went straight for to the BoSTONER tour with the Tye Dyed Tour Guy, Jimbo! It was the absolute best start to our girls weekend. We had so much fun and it was the perfect day that ended with the best cannoli ever! We also met a very fun and good looking couple on our tour. (If yall are Reading this hit me up! ❤️ Barbie 😊) It was perfect in every way. Thank you Jimbo!

Jimbo was a fabulous tour guide. I booked his tour months ahead of my visit. He accepted my booking, probably thinking more people would want the same date. Nobody else did! Amazingly, instead of trying to move me onto a different date or cancelling my booking, he arrived at the meeting spot ready to do a tour for one. He had my respect right there. Then, over our beer, he got to know my companion and myself and was able to individualize his tour to hit spots he thought would be of interest to us. He was right! Also, if he offers to take your photo, hand over your phone/camera! He knows right where to stage excellent photos. I'll be coming back to Boston and will book one of Jimbo's tours when I do. I'm certain it will be completely different and I will come away with more knowledge and a great time. p.s. If you need a jazz club or restaurant recommendation, don't hesitate to ask Jimbo.

Spend an afternoon with Jimbo, you won't be disappointed! He will take you into all of the intricate pathways of the North End, all while painting a picture of previous generations who have called the area home. He provides information and experiences you cannot get from planning the trip on your own. Jim's love for the area is evident and palpable in his stories and extensive knowledge of the area. Don't miss out on this one!

Our group of 8 had a super time walking around North End enjoying delicious slices of pizza and learning about the history of the neighborhood and old Boston. Our tour guide Jimbo was fun, interactive, entertaining and informative. I highly recommend it to anyone including the locals or visitors. A+++

The only thing better than the pizza was jimbo himself! The tour shows you more than you’d ever see but just navigating on your own, from the history of the streets to the alleys and all the smells, sites and people along the way.
Also, if looking for food recs, take his advice… from personal experience his opinions are facts!!!

The Tyed Dyed Tour Guide is the best in Boston!! My friends and I booked the famous pizza, beer, Paul Revere, and cannoli tour on a glorious summer day to celebrate a birthday in our group. Right from the jump, Jimbo made our experience amazing! He led us through the coolest back alleys, hidden gems, and points of interest in the North End I've never seen before in the many times I've explored the area. He has a great way of combining history, keeping it fun, interactive, and entertaining. He introduced me to two delicious pizza restaurants, and cannolis to die for from a bakery I had not been to. Ernestos and Regina Pizzeria were both top-notch and very yummy. The cannoli from Bovas was hands down the winner of the day! It's my new favorite over the other two bakeries (iykyk). I highly recommend Jimbo the Tyed Dyed Tour Guide to anyone local or traveling through Boston for a one-of-a-kind trippy hippie tour of Boston's historic North End!! Thank you, for a real good time!!!

Start your trip off right and book this experience now! My boyfriend and I had the absolute best time on the BoSTONER tour! Jimbo instantly felt like a friend we’ve known for years. He shared his love, passion, and knowledge for Boston in such a fun and engaging way. We LOVED going off the beaten path and seeing parts of Boston other tours wouldn’t have taken us.
Watching multiple shop owners and locals happily greet Jimbo by name really made us feel like we were getting to see the REAL heart of Boston, not just tourists traps. Thank you for sharing your city with us!! ❤️❤️

On a gorgeous summer day, a bunch of friends got together to celebrate a birthday and we booked Jimbo, The “Tie-Dyed Tour Guide” for entertainment. We had a great time walking around the North End, eating pizza and cannolis and laughing. Jimbo is a spirited and knowledgeable born-and-bred Boston guy. He took us to some hidden gems and regaled us with stories from the history pages of Boston. A great way to spend time with friends!

Jimbo was by far the best tour of Boston we had! Not only did you get some American history he also tells some Boston history and landmarks unique to the city! Loved the pizza stops and interesting mom and pop stops along the way! Also has the best recommendations. Highly recommend! Very fun and unique!

If you are new to Boston, or you think you know your way around, the Tye Dyed Tour Guide is a must for the curious at heart. Book a tour to explore back alleys, tiny parks and historic places while he tells you tales of Boston's historic North End. A group of us went for a birthday and had an amazing time.

Jimbos tour provided a nice slice of history and a couple nice slices of pie, as promised. He was very inviting, kind, and knowledgeable and we visited some beautiful and historic places. It was a nice small group so there was room for questions and pit stops, and it felt more like friends hanging out than a formal experience. I would definitely recommend getting some pizza and beer with Jimbo.

Jimbo's the man! This is the new bar for any tour I ever take. Got to see Boston in a way I'm convinced most locals haven't seen. Totally personalized the experience to me. Absolute A plus! If you're at all on the fence about whether to take this tour, treat this as your sign to do it.

We had a blast on this tour! Jimbo is a great guide with lots of jokes and great insight to not only the historical sites, but also the local hot spots! We originally didn't have this scheduled so we called on the day we wanted to go to see if he had open spots. He not only rearranged his schedule to give us a private tour, but he also gave us a discount, met us at the most convenient time for us, and spent more time with us than scheduled! We were impressed by him before we even went on the tour! His customer service was exemplary! Once we met up at our first destination, we knew we were going to have a great time! He got to know us before we even started and created a custom tour for us based on the things we wanted to see! We saw a lot historical spots as well as some local favorites! We definitely saw a lot of things we wouldn't have seen or even known about had we not taken this tour of the Historical North End Boston! Thank you for your time and conversation Jimbo! We had the BEST time!

If you visit Boston and don’t find a way to see Jimbo and attend one of his excellent tours, I don’t know what to tell you; you’re missing out. Jimbo has a gifted way of sewing together the past and the present. He allows his tours to ponder and reflect on the impact of the events that shaped our country’s origin story in the past, while making specific callouts and observations about the reality of the present Boston and how these events continue to ripple like waves in the harbor. If you’re looking for a stuffy, fact-driven tour with a guide who wants to show off his memorization of dates and figures by talking AT you, this is NOT the tour for you. However, if you desire an immersive experience with great stories of Boston, delicious pizza, and tons of laughs, I highly recommend you sign up for the Pizza, Beer, & Paul Revere tour with the Tye Dyed Tour Guide today. Can’t wait to return and take it again!

Jimbo was awesome! Super funny, engaging and knowledgeable about this great city and it's most historic neighborhoods!!! Even though our tour party are MA natives and have ventured in the areas many times before, we definitely all came out learning something new while sharing some pizza's and brews! Highly recommend this tour for both MA natives and tourists alike, you will have a blast with Jimbo!

From the moment my boyfriend and I met Jimbo, we knew it was going to be a fun day! If you are ever in the Boston area and want to have a wicked fun time walking around and indulging in some green, then I would highly suggest taking Jimbo’s boSTONER: Cannabis and Cannoli Tour! My boyfriend and I were coming to Boston for a concert, but I wanted other stuff to do too. I found this stoner tour and immediately booked it and by the end of the tour we felt like we were all buds truly! We felt like we were just walking around the city with a friend that we were just catching up with! The conversations came naturally and every minute of it was great. The green isn’t bad either (it’s great)! And I can’t forget about the amazing cannolis! They truly are the best and made with love. I promise you will not regret booking this tour with Jimbo!

Jimbo is not only a great person, he’s knowledgeable about his city. During a custom tour, Jimbo took us to multiple local hotspots that locals love. We learned about Boston, had great pizza, great drinks, and great company. I’d recommend his tours to family and friends alike. Thanks Jimbo for a great day and for treating us like family. This was an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you!

One of the best tours I have ever been on! If any of my friends are ever coming to Boston this will be the first tour I recommend. Jimbo was a wonderful tour guide and gave us an inside scoop on the city, specifically the north end, and made us feel like we weren't just tourists but friends. He gave us great tips on the city for our first day and showed us sites that weren't well known to most tourists. He is also an excellent photographer and got the best photo of the two of us that we took all weekend. Again, HIGHLY recommend this tour!!

I have known Jimbo for 30+ years. You will not meet a kinder, more genuine person than he. My fiancé recently had a stroke and was hospitalized for 2 1/2 weeks at Mass General. Jimbo reached out to me after only conversing on Facebook here and there over the last few years and took time out of his incredibly busy schedule to come visit us and went completely out of his way to bring my fiancée some great Mexican food, who does that anymore? I’m looking forward to taking a tour with him soon. Anything this man does he does with heart and honesty. Keep up the great work Jimbo! Honored to have you as my friend!

If you want to have an incredible experience, book a tour with Jimbo! We knew we’d have to make the best of the weather. But, it really wasn’t an issue because we had such a fantastic time that we weren’t even thinking of the rain. Walking around Boston with Jimbo was like hanging out with your best friend. He is the perfect mix of fun and knowledge. The only question is, which tour to do next! Thank you so much, be in touch soon💕

We had a fantastic afternoon kicking around Boston on the Pizza Beer and Paul Revere tour with Jimbo. Jimbo shared tons of Boston history in a cool interactive refreshing way. He's a fun guy and has a passion for the city and sharing it with people. It didn't feel like we were on a tour-- it was like we were hanging out with a good friend. He also pointed us in the right direction for other things to enjoy after our tour (a really great dispensary, margaritas) Highly recommend Jimbo and his tours for a great time! A solid 11/10 👍🏻

This was super enjoyable and informative tour, and so entertaining. Jimbo takes you to places in the city you probably wouldn’t think to go, not least the amazing pizza that would be pretty hard to find without someone in the know! I feel like I really got to know Boston and experience the city’s character, something you would never get walking around yourself. Jimbo can also organise custom tours, if you’re like me and can’t choose between pizza and weed and cannoli, reach out to him and he might be able set you up with a custom tour! Keep up the amazing work Jimbo 😊😊

Jumbo is very passionate about what he does and you can tell he genuinely enjoys leading these tours and sharing Boston with others. 1000000/10 would recommend and will without a doubt be booking another tour next time I am in the area. Had a great experience with Jimbo and his Tye Dyed Tour Guide! He effortlessly led our group of 9 folks around some of the coolest (and often hidden) parts of Boston. Not only is Jimbo very knowledgeable but he's a great storyteller and really made old history come to life. Even if you think you know Boston, you will learn something new. Pizza, beer and Paul Revere - what's not to love!

Fun tour or the North End and Little Italy. We enjoyed the mindful pauses along the way and the photo ops. The pizza we tried was delicious and after the tour members of our group went back to visit one of the small bakeries to buy bread and pastries (which were fantastic). I would recommend this tour to visitors who would like a laid back spin on seeing the North End and Little Italy.

This tour was exactly as advertised, which meant we loved every minute. Jimbo was a knowledgeable local with good energy. He kept us laughing and full with pizza from two different spots. My husband and I have lived in Boston for over 20 years, including 2 years in the North End. We pride ourselves in knowing our ever-changing city like the back of our hand. We took the "Pizza, Beer and Paul Revere" tour when my brother in-law came into town. Not only did we learn new things about the history of these areas and Paul Revere, we were pleasantly surprised to be exposed to hidden gems and shops in the North End we had no idea were even there. Jimbo didn't bore us once and was very engaging all along the way. 10/10 would do this tour with our next visitor. Don't hesitate to book this tour. Oh and the pizza was AWESOME.

We had a great tour exploring Pizza Beer and Paul Revere. Jim was friendly and accommodating to all ages in our tour. We loved the little bits history and tips for visiting the city. Our group of 12 had a customized tour with Jimbo in July 2023. A few people in our group had been to Boston multiple times so I was looking for a “new” experience. Jimbo definitely delivered on that! The pizza and cannolis were phenomenal and we learned things about Boston that day that aren’t in your average tour books. Jimbo goes out of his way to make sure to provide the best experience for your group possible. He is very attentive and excellent with communication. I would not hesitate to book a tour with him again! Thank you Jimbo for making our tour so special!

Jimbo is nothing short of a phenomenal host. We hired The Tye Dyed Tour Guide recently for a custom tour that left no stone unturned. From history and pizza, to books, horticulture, and fine art our uniquely tailored Boston experience covered it all. If I could give this company 6 stars I would.

Jimbo is a fun and informative host. Definitely interesting! The tour had a lot of information and some good pizza along the way, especially Regina's. That Luigi sauce that Jimbo asked for on the side was amazing! There were a few places we only spent a minute in (Italian bakery and cafes), but mostly good amounts of time walking around with a good history lesson of Paul Revere and more. Good tour!

My team did the Pizza, Beer, and Paul Revere tour with Jimbo as part of a work offsite and it was a huge hit! Very fun tour. Jimbo was funny and engaging and super knowledgeable and excited about Boston. We saw some really important historical sites but also places very much off the beaten path. The cannoli at the end was a delicious added treat and was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Really enjoyed how engaging the tour was and how personable Jimbo was. He made the history of Boston feel very accessible. Would 100% recommend!

Our day in Boston started at 12pm at a local pub, Dirty Nelly, on Blackstone Street where we met with Jimbo, the Tye Dyed Tour Guide, who gave us a private 2 hour “Pizza, Beer, and Paul Revere” tour of the North End. It was fun as Jimbo imparted some historical knowledge about the North End and Paul Revere. We also had some great pizza along with great conversation! Highly Recommended!!

The tour was great, and you get more insight into city life from a local perspective over and above the freedom trail.
There is a sprinkling of history (American Revolution, through to more recent history and how the communities evolved) mixed in with great food from little spots I wouldn't find as a tourist and some great personalised recommendations, before during and after the tour

We booked the 12:00 tour. We informed Jimbo we were stuck in traffic and running late. We arrived at the meeting spot at 12:08 to be told that Jimbo had already left. I texted him at exactly 12:10 to say we had arrived. I received a text from him at exactly 12:10 stating he had waited 10 minutes and since we didn’t show up he left without us, as per his 10 minute policy. He simply was not at the meeting spot at 12:10 because we were there.
As of 5/9/23 this policy is not listed on his experience page or my receipt, nor did he tell me this policy when I told him we were running late. He also refused to allow us to catch up to the tour. Admittedly, I was frustrated with Jimbo and gave him a two word immature middle school insult (but not an expletive or swear) to which he reported me to Airbnb for verbal abuse. Jimbo was simply caught in multiple lies, instead of owning up to it he took our $275 and retaliated against me.

My boyfriend Ron and I went on the boSTONER tour with Jimbo, and we really loved it! Jimbo does a fantastic job of making you feel like you’re just a couple of friends exploring Boston. He took us through beautiful, peaceful spots that you would really only discover through a local. It was just my boyfriend and I during the tour, and Jimbo made a genuine effort to keep the tour engaging through storytelling and actually taking the time to get to know us. We recommend Jimbo’s tours to anyone who has the chance to visit Boston - Ron and I left his tour feeling lucky we got to see Boston and spend a day with a cool local 🙂

I was not expecting to like this tour as much as I did. When I first I arrived I thought to myself what did get myself into since I’m not much of beer drinker and I was only on the tour and I’m kind of shy, but the tour was awesome. I got some great pizza. The graveyard was my favorite part. Jimbo is really great when it comes to knowledge of the area. 10/10 would recommend

Today was my second annual Beer, Tour, and Paul Revere tour experience. Just like the first one, every aspect of it was unbeatable! Jimbo gives you an inside look of the city, some amazing history, and some of the best pizza you’ll ever try. To anyone visiting Boston and wanting to feel like a local, this is the experience for you. Thank you Jimbo for everything!!!

My and I went on Jimbo’s tour during a weekend trip to Boston and it was fantastic! Jumbo is super chill and does a good job getting small groups talking to each other so that you feel like you’re exploring the city with friends. I only wish we had done the tie on our first day so that we had more time to go back to all the awesome restaurants and shops that he introduced us to while we walked through the North End! We did go back on our last day to get pizza from one of our stops for dinner because it was amazing! Jimbo was funny, and did a great job helping you feel like you were connected to a community that’s steeped in history. The next time we’re here, we’ll be doing his Cannoli tour!

Jimbo is a great time! My wife and I have known Jimbo for a while and decided to enjoy a day in the city on his pizza, beer and Paul Revere tour. It did not disappoint. Being from Boston, we did not realize all of the history we were unaware of in our own city. Jimbo is full of knowledge and personality. Not to mention getting to enjoy some hidden gem pizza, beer and specialty shops in a beautiful part of Boston. Thanks again for a great afternoon, Jimbo!

If I could give more stars, I would. We loved the Pizza, Beer and Paul Revere Tour by The Tye Dyed Tour Guide! Jimbo was amazing. The tour takes you around Boston's historical and beautiful Little Italy, where you learn about the history from someone who grew up in the neighbourhood. It's a perfect length (2-2.5 hours) and the places we visited were great. I won't deluge the locations, you gotta take the tour to find that out but I will say they were all places we wanted to visit and we went back to do more exploring after the tour. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a fun afternoon with a pretty awesome guide.

My teenage son and I were in Boston for not quite a full day. We booked a private tour with Jimbo to make the most of our short time there. We both had different goals for a tour. The Boy wanted to eat some good food, and see a few sights. I wanted a bit of history, some local tales and insider tips. Jimbo wove our interests into a smashing tour. He’s a bonnie story teller. It was just what we were looking for. A++

We had an amazing tour with Jimbo on the Pizza, Beer and Paul Revere tour. For as many times as a tourist I have walked in the North End, I thought I knew the “hot spots”. No way. Jimbo taught us so much and many more places to check out on our next visit. Highly recommend his services. Easy to book. He is very knowledgeable of the area, the history and the eateries. You wont regret it.

My girlfriend and her son took the tour and RAVED about it! Jimbo's local knowledge, sense of humor and "insider" tips are top notch. Her son enjoyed all the historical facts Jimbo shares so much, he is now making plans to go back to school and get his History degree! Thanks for not only entertaining, but inspiring, Jimbo! You're the best in the business.

We had a great time with Jimbo! Starting out at Durty Nelly's was perfect, we went to a bunch of nook-and-cranny places which were really neat! Pizza places had long long lines that he was able to skip for us. Jimbo is funny and shares lots of interesting stories and information. We recommend him!

The tour with Jimbo was fantastic! He is super passionate and knowledge about the city and its history. He did a great job navigating us around the North End and even shows us some of the hidden gems I feel like tourists don't typically see. It was a great way to explore a historic part of the city while eating some amazing pizza!

Jimbo is a national treasure and his Pizza, Beer and Paul Revere tour was the most fun we've had in Boston. He's hilarious, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and kind and his tour through the North End hit multiple Freedom Trail (and other, off the beaten path) history landmarks as well as local favorite stops and shops. He will readily give you a recommendation on anything in the area. We just had a blast hanging out with him and learning all about the city. Book him now, five gold stars!
